On one lucky night, some hopeful residents of the Mushroom Kingdom wished for a hero to stop Bowser’s antics... and so, Naomi was created!
Unlike our Mario, she's self-conscious, a bit clumsy, and stubborn, but not to an extent where she becomes obnoxious. She just tries to have fun whenever she can, because despite her abnormal origin, Naomi is just like any other Mario.

Naomi has no Luigi counterpart, as people wished for only one hero. She seems to have some Luigi-like qualities, though.
